If you love the sea and want to experience it actively, here you’ll find the ideal setting to get into sailing on the Island of Elba.
On Naregno beach, right in front of the property, the Naregno Sailing Centre offers spaces, services and courses designed for those who want to learn, improve or simply enjoy the sea safely.
The natural shape of the bay and favourable conditions make this area particularly suited to sailing and water sports, for both beginners and more experienced sailors.
Below you’ll find all the information about the sailing school, courses, rentals and activities available.
The Naregno Sailing Centre
The Naregno Sailing Centre covers 3,000 sqm of private land, directly bordering the beach of the same name.
Inside the centre you’ll find a reception area with a terrace, ideal for meeting and socialising, a gazebo where theory lessons take place, storerooms for equipment and a space dedicated to children, also designed as a play area.
Naregno beach lies at the edge of the striking Costa dei Gabbiani, a cliff dropping into the sea, protected and enhanced by the Tuscan Archipelago National Park.
The east-facing exposure and the natural shape of the bay, protected by the headland of Capo Focardo (with its lighthouse) on the right and Punta della Principessa on the left, create particularly favourable conditions.
This natural protection shelters the beach from the prevailing Maestrale and Scirocco winds, allowing easy departures from the beach even on the more challenging days for those attending the sailing school.

Sailing school, rentals and sea activities
In addition to the sailing school, the centre offers a wide range of services and water activities.
You can take advantage of the rental of various sailing craft, including:
- Hobie Cat
- Laser
- FY
- Windsurf
Also available are dinghies with eco-friendly engines, ideal on low-wind days for exploring the Costa dei Gabbiani independently, a beautiful nature reserve within the Tuscan Archipelago National Park.
For a more direct experience of the sea, you can also choose:
- canoes, to explore bays and stretches of coastline
- e-bikes, to discover the island and its beauty by land, in total freedom
